Carson is now almost 8 months old!!! He is very close to crawling and rolls all over the place right now! He is 20lbs and can stand at the coffee table by himself! He is going to be mobile very soon and we are not sure we are quite ready for it. We are very excited to go to Kansas city for thanksgiving so carson can see his Grandma and Grandpa Rooney and his cousins Braylen and Riley. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

Well Carson is 6 months old now and we are full of a bunch of firsts! He started eating veggies and fruits just recently. He definately likes fruits better than the veggies!(but so does his dad!) He is now sitting up by himself! (as you can see in the picture) He popped his first tooth yesterday, it's on the bottom and he is so cute when he plays with it with his tongue! And to round out the firsts, he was sick for the first time. We all had a bout of the stomach flu and of course he got it too. But we are all on the mend and feeling much better! As the leaves are changing we are finding more and more changes in our house as well! Hope everyone is having a nice fall, unfortunately that means snow is on the way. :(

We can't believe Carson is almost 5 months old! He is changing so much everyday. He is rolling over from his back to his stomach and is 16lbs. 2oz! And he is laughing and smiling all the time! We are sleeping through the night which is making it easier for mom and dad at work each day!Hope everyone had a great summer! Enjoy the new pictures!

Carson is now 4 months old! We can't believe how fast he is growing. He is smiling and laughing alot and making his parents laugh too! He is sleeping better but still not letting mom get through the whole night! We started rice cereal with him which was fun for him and us! He is weighing in at 15lbs 25 inches (growing like a bean pole)! Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Carson is still growing like a bean pole! He is now 13lbs. 4oz! We can't believe he has gained 6lbs since he was born. Mom started back to work last week, so we all have had an adjustment. We are very lucky that Mimi is watching carson on the days that mom goes to work! It has made it easier for mom to leave him knowing he is in such good hands. We hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

Well, carson had to go to his two month appointment and get his first shots last week! I think it was harder on mom than it was on Carson. And of course, he is growing like a bean pole 11lbs. 9 1/2 oz. and 23 inches long. We also got our first smile about two weeks ago! It's amazing how happy that can make a mom and dad feel!!! Hope this update finds everyone doing well!

Weekend trip

We went to Kansas city this weekend so Carson could meet his new cousin Riley Grace. Carson also got to meet his great grandpa Jake! We had four generations at Shanes this weekend, it was pretty neat! Carson also got to spend some time with his aunt annie. And don't worry, Carson again didn't disappoint us at the baby weigh clinic, he was 10lbs 11oz today!

Well Carson didn't disappoint us today! He was 10lbs at the baby weigh clinic! We can't believe that he is in the double digits. Carson is getting excited to go meet his new cousin Riley this weekend in Kansas city. We will post pictures of the two new little ones next week!

New Addition

Carson, Chris, and I are proud to announce we have a new addition to our family! Shane and Shandi are the proud parents of beautiful Riley Rooney born today at 7lbs. 3oz. 19inches long. Mom and baby are doing great! We will post pictures soon!

Big Week

Carson has had a big week! His mimi, Judy, came home on thursday! Judy also babysat for us on friday night so carson got some good quality time with mimi! This weekend carson's great aunt and uncle, Fred and Jeanie, came to town to meet him as well. He is a very popular kid for only being 4 weeks old! And yesterday, we went to the baby weigh clinic and he was 9lbs. 5oz! He was up 11 oz this week! He is definately not being underfed.

I took Carson to the baby weight clinic today and he was 8lbs. 10oz.! I can't believe how quickly he is growing! He is starting to stay awake longer during the day and is still sleeping well at night! Hopefully it will stay this way! Enjoy the new pictures!!

Well, I took carson to the baby weigh clinic yesterday and he was 8lbs! He is really puttin on the OZ's! He is up almost a pound from birth! Also, last night we got a little over 4 hours between feedings with him. Which means mom got a little more sleep! YEA YEA

Hello to all! Chris and I have decided to make this blog site so everyone can keep updated on Carson! He is a true blessing and we are so excited he is finally here!
